I am a nursing student at British Columbia Institute of Technology and I will be doing a community project on promoting family health. Other students and I would like to help a person or a couple develop strategies to make a lifestyle change. It could be someone with a chronic condition that he/she needs help managing or someone who simply wants to develop a lifestyle more conducive to good health.
Participants would spend about an hour with us during which we would go over their goals and concerns as well as develop some strategies to meet those goals.
Although people must sign a consent form to be part of this project all personal information will be kept confidential and the instructor will shred all final projects after they are graded.
